Strolling amongst the lush citrus gardens at the Palais Carnoles, exuding their sweet fragrance under the Menton sun.
The lush gardens of the Palais Carnoles contain 100 different varieties of citrus fruits, including indigenous varieties like Santa Theresa, Villafranca, and Eureka, with 340 trees alive with color and exuding their rich scents in the warm sun. During the Festival of Citrus (now in its 80th year), the streets of Menton are filled with floats (all made from citrus fruits), parades, and dancers, in this exquisite celebration utilizing up to 145 tons of fruit.
