The people of the Andean Mountains in Peru traditionally use Ratanhia root to clean their teeth. Like all things Weleda, we respect that wisdom and build on it for natural health. The sturdy red root is rich in tanning agents which protect and strengthen sore gums, and it contains natural anti-bacterial qualities. We add calming myrrh and refreshing essential oils of peppermint and spearmint, with calcium-based cleansers for a naturally effective toothpaste.
Directions: Regular twice-daily brushing keeps gums and mouth in good condition.
