With this anonymous illustration from 1899 on the container. The violet-flavoured Gal Vaseline has been for decades an essential product for every woman around the world. This Vaseline was created in 1870 but it was not until the early twentieth century when Salvador Echeandia Gal marketed its perfumed Vaseline resulting in one of the best sellers of world history thanks to its effect on lips or even eyelashes.

In 2001, Piug Beauty & Fashion Group acquires Gal Perfumes. Puig, a Spanish multinational, with the Puig family at the helm, that has a big role in the global beauty industry. And works, among others, with perfumes like Nina Ricci, Paco Rabanne and Carolina Herrera.
