Two years after the great discovery by Oscar Troplowitz of a protective lip balm, the Labello brand was introduced in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria-Hungary. The term comes from the Latin Labello labium (lips) and Bellus (beautiful), which is exactly the aim of Labello: offer beautiful lips!
Labello launched a highly innovative packaging: a stick tin whose principle was to rotate the tube at its base to the product out. Until then, care products for the lips were not presented in a special packaging: it would just cut small pieces of the product and wrapped in tin foil.
Labello tin tube was replaced by an aluminum tube for easy use and storage in a pocket or handbag. At that time, Labello was available in two versions: a normal white version, and a red-colored version, the first colored balm lip care.
The aluminum packaging was replaced by a variant of plastic, giving it a more colorful and modern look.
For the first time, Labello appears in his classic blue coat, which is today a symbol of lip balm.
The Labello Med was decorated with a sun protection factor and soothing agents. Labello stepped over, specializing in products to treat more serious problems with lips.
The Labello Rose came to offer women the first care of pink lipstick. Since then, Labello Rosé is gaining popularity and is used by girls and women worldwide.
Since 1999, launched 17 Labello lip balms for different fruity lips, offering flavors such as Tropical Shake, Sweet Melon, and Lemon Twist. The current lineup also includes Cherry, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, and Pink Grapefruit. Labello frequently offers new variants of fruit for you to try out our new colors, scents, and flavors trendy.
