Hansaplast Corn Plasters with salicylic acid effectively help remove corns on the foot. The plaster reduces pressure, relieving the pain caused by the corn. Salicylic acid works to combat corns to help these problem areas disappear. The Hansaplast Corn Plaster softens corns thanks to its active ingredient salicylic acid. Located in the center of the foam ring, this ingredient acts by loosening the structure holding the cells of the corn. The calloused skin and the intercellular substance holding its layers together are loosened, which leads to increased hydration and the softening of the area. As a result, the corn can then also be easily peeled off. Available in easy-to-apply strips, these plasters offer coverage and relief for even those hard-to-cover parts of the foot and also provide long-term protection thanks to the very reliable adhesive.  Warning: Not suitable for diabetics or people with circulatory problems.

Ingredients - One plaster contains 0.04g salicylic acid.

Directions: For most people, the three simple steps below help to relieve discomfort and remove corns. If they don’t work for you, consult your doctor for advice.

Step 1 - Clean the affected area and then apply a corn plaster that contains salicylic acid such as Hansaplast Corn Plaster. These easy-to-apply strips stop further pressure and relieve pain. The center of the foam ring contains salicylic acid which gently but effectively loosens the skin cells that are holding the horny cells of the corn together, thereby making it softer and easy to remove. Leave it to work and replace the plaster after two days. Please note that if you have diabetes or suffer from circulatory disorders you shouldn’t use Hansaplast Corn Plasters. Ask your doctor for advice on how best to remove them.

Step 2 - After four days, the now softened corn can be removed. Soak your feet in a warm salt or soap water bath and then e.g. use a pumice stone to rub away the corn. Don’t try to remove the corn with sharp objects such as a razor blade.

Step 3 - Once the corn is removed moisturize your feet. Regularly using an effective moisturizer will strengthen your skin barrier and reduce the chance of corns reforming.

Do not use if the skin is hypersensitive to salicylic acid, salicylates, or rubber, or if the skin is damaged or diseased. Do not use it if you are diabetic or if you have circulatory disorders. It is not suitable for the treatment of infants. In the case of restricted renal function, seek advice from the doctor. The plaster may not come into contact with mucous membranes. Avoid contact with the eyes in particular. Salicylic acid can increase the permeability of the skin to other locally applied medicaments. Local skin irritations (burning or reddening) occur in rare cases. Allergic skin reactions may occur in individual cases. Without medical advice, you should not use several plasters at the same time over a longer period of time. Store in a dry place, not above 25˚C. For external use only. Only for single use.
