Founded in 1990, by Marseille natives Pascal Bourelly and Philipe Boigeol, Compagnie de Provence has become one of the leading brands for contemporary well-being products from Provence. The company offers a unique progressive vision of this legendary region of France and its many contrasting elements. Compagnie de Provence juxtaposes the authentic traditions of fine soap making with a modern, pure and minimalist design aesthetic.
With its roots firmly planted in Marseille, the company strives to promote and modernize the emblematic Savon de Marseille cube soap, which has brought fame and pride to this city since the 17th century. More recently, Compagnie de Provence launched its liquid version of the traditional Marseille soap, which quickly has become their signature item. Their colorful bottles of liquid Marseille soap are now iconic symbols of the city and are enjoyed by consumers worldwide.
With multiple boutiques in France, and a distribution network extending to all continents, Compagnie de Provence has become THE brand of Savon de Marseille in all its forms. Yet despite its growth and success, the company remains humble and respectful of its origins and beginnings.
Messieurs Bourelly and Boigeol continue to invest in the people and business of the region. From the fragrance suppliers in Grasse to the savories of Haute Provence, to the local employees from the association of disabled persons, Compagnie de Provence operates with a philosophy that is uncompromising in its respect of the individual and environment.
